Labor/Delivery

Here it is. The story of my little Nash and birth. So after going a week past my due date and being completely miserable and swollen the doctor set me up to be induced. So Bryan, my mom and myself woke up bright and early on August 6th and headed to Kaiser. Of course when I got there and they checked me I was still only a 1!! I think the doctor told me a was almost a 2 just to make me feel better! Anyway, things were really slow and I didn't get pitocin until 1pm. Finally contractions started and the doctor came back in at 5 to check me. I was only a 3!! I remember thinking this little boy has is taking his sweet little time. I decided to get an epidural just in case Nash decided to wait all night before making his grand entrance. I didn't want to be completely exhausted when Kinsey and Creighton came to meet there little brother the next morning. 2 hours after the epidural the doctor came back in and said I was a 10 and ready to go!! I couldn't believe it! I couldn't believe I was finally going to meet my little baby! Little Nash made his entrance at 10:35pm. It was the easiest labor and delivery yet and everything went so smooth. I had the BEST doctors and nurses ever!! They were amazing. I am so grateful I was able to have my mom and my amazing husband. Bryan kept us totally entertained and kept all the nurses laughing! My second nurse Jenn was into cars and Bryan instantly liked her. We also had Lauren and Steven come and visit while I was in labor. It was nice to have them come and pass the time. They were also in the hospital when I delivered and came up to meet Nash shortly after he was born. It was really fun to have them there.

I am so happy to have my little guy here. We waited a long for Nash and feel so blessed he finally here.
