Finding Joy

Last week the hit TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition built a house for a boy who has Prader-Willi Syndrome and his family. The show was AMAZING and I cried the whole way through. The family did such a great job teaching everyone about the syndrome and the home they received was so perfect and gave our family many ideas for our future dream home. Watching this family and seeing how grateful and gracious they were made me think about my own life. Since Creighton was born and then shortly after diagnosed I have gone through many stages of grief, sadness, excitement, happiness, frustration, anger, joy and did I mention complete LOVE for his sweet little spirit. With all these emotion coming and going I sometimes feel alittle disconnected with life. This sweet family on EMHE made me realize just how grateful I am for my little family and especially for Creighton and his ability to bring people together. I may not be so grateful about the challenges that Creighton will face in his life but I am so in love with him and the joy he has brought into our family.
